
BRIDGETOWN, Barbados -Two 19-year-old men were arrested and charged in connection with the shooting last month of a Canadian tourist.
Kenneth Elliot, 65,of Calgary was paralyzed below the collar bone after the shooting. He was on vacation with members of his family.
The two accused – Alexander Patrick Alleyne and Travis Orin Campbell -appeared in the Oistins Magistrates Court on Monday before Magistrate Elwood Watts and were remanded to April 6.
They are charged with unlawfully wounding Elliott with intent to maim, disfigure or disable him or to do some serious bodily harm; that they entered the dwelling house of Robert Elliott as a trespasser with intent to steal and at the time of its commission had with them a firearm and a weapon of offense, a cutlass and that they used a firearm without a valid license to do so.
