The Guyana 50th Republic Anniversary Celebration Committee in Toronto, Canada under the auspices of the Consulate General of Guyana in Toronto is hosting a ” Virtual Guyanese Republic Jubilee Awards Ceremony and Cultural Presentation” under the theme “An Evening of Appreciation, Recognition and Unity”. The event is expected to bring together Guyanese all over the world for an evening of culture and recognition of individuals and entities that have contributed to making an impact on the Guyanese community in Canada as well as the lives of Guyanese in Guyana.

His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana will be delivering the featured address and there will be remarks by the Hon. Hugh Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Additionally, Canadian Provincial MP Sara Singh and Canadian Federal MP Sonia Sindhu will also be delivering brief remarks for the event.

The event will be broadcasted live on the Consulate’s Facebook page.
