Four boxes of sports supplies are on their way to Tranquillity Government Secondary School in Port-of-Spain – thanks to  the school’s Alumni Association in Toronto.

The donated supplies which include uniforms are for the school’s boys and girls football,  netball and basketball teams.

Ronald Roberts,  secretary of the Tranquillity Alumni Association, told the Caribbean Camera that  the organization  was formed 24 years ago with the aim of  “giving back to the community,  be it here in Toronto, or in the Caribbean.”

“Apart from the regular scholarships that we give out, we have also made financial donations to some organizations and individuals  seeking  donations,” said Maureen Clarke, one of the Association’s   public relations officers.

Clarke expressed her appreciation to members of the community for their generous support over the years.
