Last Saturday, owner of Active Marketplace Zahid Malik welcomed Ajax MPP and Minister of Long-Term Care Rod Phillips for the opening ceremony of building B of the flea market.

Active Marketplace first opened in September while the pandemic was raging. Now that the restrictions have been relaxed, the minister was able to make an appearance and share this great accomplishment of the opening of this new shopping destination in Ajax. Phillips took a tour of all stopping areas of the facility and spoke with vendors at the market’s three buildings. The minister then settled down to eat some good Caribbean food provided by Delore Morrison of Delor’s Cartering, one of the markets best restaurants.
