Grammy award-winning singer Rihanna ( Robyn Rihanna Fenty)has been honoured by the Harvard Foundation for Intercultural and Race Relations for her philanthropic work to improve cancer treatment in her native Barbados and in support of education projects.

Rihanna who has set up a college scholarship program to help students from the Caribbean further their studies in the United States and serves as a world-wide ambassador for the Global Partnership of Education, received the award on Tuesday.
