At the end of round three in the WICB Professional Cricket League Regional four-day tournament which ended last Monday, Guyana is still leading despite their loss to Barbados.

Guyana set a victory target of only 69 runs and bundled out for 66 at their home ground, the Guyana National Cricket Stadium.

Scores in the match:

Guyana 261 all out in their first innings, with wicket-keeper/batsman Anthony Bramble topscoring with 73 and youth batsman Shimron Hetmyer scored 47. Ryan Hinds took four for 50. Barbados in reply made 101 all out with Dwayne Smith scoring 32. Veerasammy Permaul took eight for 26. Barbados in their second innings scored 228 with Ryan Hinds topscoring with 68 and Shane Dowrich made 50. V. Permaul took four for 75 and Devendra Bishoo grabbed four for 65.

Guyana all out in their second innings for 66 runs with Rajendra Chandrika scoring 30. Dwayne Smith took his career best first-class haul of five for 17 and J. Carter and R. Hinds took two wickets each.

Jamaica Franchise defeated Trinidad & Tobago Red Force by 38 runs at the Queen’s Park Oval. Jamaica scored 173 all out with Tamar Lambert topscoring with 87 and David Bernard Jr. made 65. Imran Khan took six for 52 and Marlon Richards three for 31.

T&T Red Force all out for 131 with Imran Khan scoring 26. Sheldon Cottrell took five for 42. Jamaica in their second innings made 196 with Shacay Thomas topscoring with 46. Daniel St. Clair took three for 38. T&T Red Force all out for 201 with youth wicket-keeper/batsman Nicholas Pooran topscoring with 55. Nikita Miller took seven for 63.

Windward Islands Volcanoes beat Leeward Islands Hurricane by nine wickets at the Grenada National Stadium. Leeward Islands went all out for 109 with Austin Richards scoring 44. Liam Sebastien took five for 39. Windward Islands in reply scored 308 for five wickets with Devon Smith scoring 145 and Romel Currency made 50. Jeremiah Lewis took three for 29.

Leeward Islands in their innings made 334 all out with Orlando Peters scoring 104. L. Sebastien took five for 50. Windward Islands scored 138 for one wicket with Tyrone Theophille undefeated on 62.

The points standing at the end of the third round: Guyana 39; Jamaica 34; Barbados 27; T& T Red Force 23; Windward Islands 22 and Leeward Islands seven.

The fourth round starts tomorrow (Friday) with Jamaica vs Leeward Islands at Sabina Park, Windward Islands vs Barbados at Amos Vale Sports Complex and T&T Red Force vs Guyana at Queen’s Park Oval.
