Gloria Carter, the mother of American rapper Jay-Z, has married her longtime girlfriend, Trinidadian Roxanne Wiltshire.

The wedding took place at Tribeca 360º in Manhattan, New York last Sunday.

Present at the ceremony were Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé, who took a break from her Renaissance Tour to attend the nuptials, and their daughter, Blue Ivy.

Kelly Rowland, Tyler Perry, Good Morning America co-anchor Robin Roberts, and Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles also attended the wedding.

Gloria Carter came out as a lesbian in 2017, and Jay-Z showed his support with a song called “Smile.”

Carter began dating Wiltshire in 2018.

Wiltshire who has two daughters, was born in Port of Spain.

She is co-founder and president of the Wiltshire Foundation which aims to bridge socioeconomic, academic, environmental, health, judicial, and cultural barriers by advocating literacy.

Carter is a musician, an LGTBQ+ advocate, and has three other children, apart from Jay-Z.
