HAVANA, Cuba – The Cuban diabetic foot-ulcer treatment Heberprot-P is being successfully administered in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
It’s the first eastern Caribbean nation to use the new product of Cuban biotechnology.
An initial group of 12 patients received the medication, which resulted in healing of their lower limbs, and prevented worsening of their condition which usually ends up in amputation.
The medication is being administered free of cost.
