Dru, born Andrew Grange, is a Canadian artist of Jamaican heritage who has made a significant impact on the music industry both as a member of the award-winning R&B group In Essence and as a solo artist. His journey began with In Essence, whose debut album, The Master Plan, won a JUNO Award, a MuchMusic Award, and a SOCAN #1 Award in 2004. The album’s success catapulted Dru into the spotlight, laying the foundation for his solo career.

In 2008, Dru released his first solo album, The One, which showcased his vocal versatility and produced chart-topping singles like “The One,” “Stay with Me (Always),” and “Seasons.” His collaboration on Doman & Gooding’s “Runnin” in 2009 earned him another JUNO nomination for Dance Recording of the Year. He followed up with his second album, On The Brink, in 2012, which featured the gold-status singles “She Can Ride” and “Gettin It In.” The Lovers rock mix of “Love Collision” earned Dru a JUNO nomination for Reggae Recording of the Year in 2014.

Dru’s success continued with the 2015 single “Deja Vu,” which earned him yet another JUNO nomination for R&B/Soul Recording of the Year. His 2016 release, “Don’t Be Afraid,” opened new doors, leading to a tour with Sean Paul on the Canadian Full Speed Tour.

In 2021, Dru released his third album, THE REBIRTH MMXX, a soulful tribute to ’90s R&B with a modern twist. The album’s global release was supported by a European promo tour, which included 15 dates across 10 cities in 7 countries. With nearly 3 million streams and counting, THE REBIRTH MMXX marks Dru’s triumphant return to the music industry.
