On a slightly overcast day in Toronto, the festival management committee presented the highly anticipated Toronto Caribbean Carnival Grand Parade. The parade featured about 12 bands, each with its unique theme, showcasing the rich and vibrant Caribbean culture.

The parade kicked off with the Toronto Revellers, who entertained the audience with their energetic performance. They were followed by some of the biggest bands in the parade: Carnival Nationz, Louis Saldenah Mas-K-Club, and Tribal Carnival. The audience at the Canadian Exhibition Place was exhilarated by the stunning costumes that brought Caribbean culture to life.

Although we have not yet received the official results from the festival management committee, unofficial reports suggest that Tribal Carnival emerged victorious, with Louis Saldenah Mas-K-Club coming in second, and the Toronto Revellers rounding out the top three.

Stay tuned for the full story on the Carnival, complete with pictures from our talented photographers, including Gilbert Medina, Dave Douglas, Marvin Murrel, and Daniel Royer. For now, we are excited to share some of the vibrant moments captured during yesterday’s event.
