Toronto’s Caribbean Carnival festivities kicked off with a colourful celebration at the Blue Jays’ home game on Friday, July 26. This marked the third consecutive year that the team hosted a Caribbean-themed event at Rogers Centre. The evening began with a lively pregame ceremony featuring members of Epic Carnival Mas, who ran onto the field to energize the crowd. Fans dressed in colourful Caribbean attire also paraded across the field, setting the tone for a festive night.

Despite a challenging season, the Blue Jays found a spark on this special night. They faced off against the Texas Rangers and delivered a thrilling comeback victory, winning 6-5. The game was tied in the 9th inning when Ernie Clement hit a decisive single, securing the win for Toronto. The Blue Jays’ mascot added to the celebration by wearing wristbands in Carnival colours, while still sporting the team’s signature blue.
