Celebrating the colourful Caribbean culture and the essence of unity, the forthcoming annual festival pledges an extraordinary experience for individuals from all walks of life.

Scheduled for the Memorial Day Weekend (May 26 – 29), the 37th Atlanta Caribbean Carnival eagerly anticipates the convergence of communities, artists, and enthusiasts from the Caribbean diaspora and beyond.

This year signifies a notable milestone as the festivities embody a collective celebration, spotlighting the resilience and cultural opulence of Caribbean heritage.

The Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Bandleaders Association (ACCBA), the masterminds behind the event, have meticulously curated a diverse array of activities, showcasing the spirited rhythms, artistic expressions, vibrant attire, and captivating cultural facets that define Caribbean identity.

From the pulsating beats of Soca to the melodious strains of steel pan, the festival pledges a sensory voyage into the heart of the Caribbean.

In addition to the iconic downtown Atlanta Caribbean Carnival parade route, featuring full street closures on May 25, and a relocated stage at the festival village (Westside Park) for the post-parade concert extravaganza, the festival season will include cherished events such as the Children’s Carnival on May 11, the ACCBA J’ouvert returning as a nighttime affair on May 24, and ‘Submerged,’ an exhilarating new cooler fete experience on May 26.

ACCBA President Patricia Tonge Edigin expresses her enthusiasm for Atlanta and neighboring cities uniting to enjoy a harmonious Carnival. She states, “We’re thrilled to announce the resurgence of the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival as a unified festival for 2024. This year’s festivities epitomize unity and celebrate the diverse tapestry of Caribbean culture. We invite everyone to join us for an incredible, safe, and unforgettable celebration.”

In line with its 2024 theme ‘One Caribbean Carnival,’ ACCBA has assembled a diverse lineup of performers representing various Caribbean nations, including Trinidad’s 2024 Road March Champ Mical Teja, Jadel, Problem Child from St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Lil Rick and DJ Cheem from Barbados, Burning Flames and Tian Winter from Antigua, Kiprich from Jamaica, Pumpa from USVI, Motto and Teddyson John from St. Lucia, and Asa Banton from Dominica, who will also serve as a 2024 Parade Grand Marshal, among others.

The Westin Hotel Peachtree Plaza and the Courtyard Marriott Atlanta Downtown have been designated as the official host hotels for the 2024 Downtown Atlanta Caribbean Carnival.
