Bermuda is expected to receive a record number of cruise ship calls in the 2023 Cruise Ship season.
At a media conference on Friday, Minister of Transport Lawrence Scott said the UK Overseas Territory is expected to receive 222 cruise ship calls in 2023.
“Bermuda is even more attractive and the forecasted 2023 cruise ship numbers speak for themselves. January 2023 has eight calls, February has three calls, and March has 13 calls scheduled. The future looks bright as starting with this season, we, Bermuda, can now boast about being a year-round cruise destination,” he said.
The schedule for the 2023 season is expected to be released soon.
This year is also expected to be a stellar one for the territory.

Scott said cruise ships arriving from June through to October had an average of 76 per cent occupancy.
He stated survey data collected by the Bermuda Tourism Authority showed passengers spent an average of US$262 per person, which increased from US$225.
Bermuda welcomed 310,587 cruise passengers thus far this year, generating US$131.5 million in economic activity.
This was US$28.2 million more than originally projected.
By the end of 2022, an additional 63,778 passengers will arrive on the island on 39 ships.
