Having been sworn in on Friday, June 24 as the official MPP for Ajax Ms Patrice bands signed her first certificate and presented it to the Durham Community Action Group food pantry on Saturday 25 June 2022.

Barnes also made stops at the Ajax Legion Hall and opened the new restaurant called Courtney’s on Station and Harwood for the ribbon-cutting ceremony all on her first full day on the job as MPP for Ajax.

The Durham group which is now located at 577 Kingston Road West in Ajax Ontario held its June Distribution effort at Emmanuel Praise and Worship Centre in Ajax. While there Ms. Barnes participated in distributing food to community residents. Close to 200 people with families were served.

The certificate was presented to Gloria Small and members of the Ajax Black community.
