The BBPA announces its new Board of Directors

Toronto, ON – The Black Business and Professional Association (BBPA) announced its slate of new board members, at its Annual General Meeting held on September 30th, 2019.

Current president Nadine Spencer said that one of her main goals is to redouble the effort of expanding the organization’s reach while staying true to its founding principles.  In a statement at the AGM, Spencer, now in her second year as president, was rightly proud that the BBPA continues to thrive after its establishment in 1983. She added that the association is heading in the right direction to “achieve its goals of increasing organizational capacity so that we can deliver greater member value. We now continue on our journey towards becoming a more innovative organization serving the Black Business and Professional community across Canada”

The BBPA is a charitable organization, whose mission is “to advance Canada’s Black community by facilitating the delivery of programs that support business and professional excellence, higher education and economic development.

The BBPA also sponsors the Annual BBPA Harry Jerome Awards and the BBPA National Scholarship program.
