
Team Barbados kept their eyes on the target to become victorious in the recent West Indies Fullbore Shooting Council’s short range competition in Barbados.
Marlon King was named the top short range shooter and the winner of the Wogart Cup which was last won by a Barbadian in 1978.
The event showcased the skills of more than 50 shooters from teams from Guyana, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, Trinidad and Tobago, and a goodwill squad from Canada. The competition was held over three days and across five ranges — 300 yards, 500 yards, 600 yards, 900 yards, and 1000 yards.
Following the competition. a team was selected to represent the West Indies in August in Canada
